Small and simple

It is amazing how much little things can mean to a family. We have recently acquired a dog. His name is Sammo and he's a 9 year old black lab mix. Great dog, a little neurotic but a sweet dog and good with the kids. Anyway we have started a nightly ritual of going on walks with the kids; and now even though he hurt his paw we've gotten so much into the habit of it we still go together, we just leave him home to heal :(. While that is sad it is good that our family can do more things together. That has led to us playing baseball in the backyard among other energetic activities. Before we thought we really didn't have much to do outside. Yet because of one thing (small and simple?) it has led to us doing a lot more together. It probably helps that our sons are getting bigger, but it amazes me what a 2 yr old can do with a bat and a ball. He is so creative, sometimes he uses it like a gold club. He can bat really well too already, sometimes better than me LOL. Kids are great, they love looking up at the stars at night, and Tony loves the moon. Anyway thanks for reading my ramblings. LOL
